A mechanic all his life, Giacomo knew cars well and knew how to make them run. He soon landed work for a dealership in Detroit and worked his way quickly up to manager of the service department. But Giacomo was restless. He knew what car buyers wanted - straight talk, attentive service and capable salespeople who knew cars. Soon he founded his own dealership right here in Tacoma. He met his future bride, a secretary he hired, and they had six sons. Giacomo and his bride died in 1971, leaving Seattle & King County | Tacoma & Pierce County Auto Repair & Serviceto his sons, who carry on his powerful legacy today.
